Remove the app from Zoom Marketplace

Remove Cloud Recording Exporter from Zoom first so Zoom stops sending events and revokes its authorization for this account.

    2. Open Manage, then Added Apps.
    3. Select Cloud Recording Exporter.
    4. Choose Remove and confirm.

    Destination setup

    Connect Amazon S3

Create a dedicated IAM user for this export workflow. Its long-lived key remains valid until you rotate or deactivate it.

Never use an AWS root key. Grant only s3:GetObject, s3:PutObject, s3:DeleteObject, and multipart-upload permissions for the selected bucket prefix. The secret is encrypted at rest and is never returned to the browser.

    AWS Console (UI) setup
    1. In AWS Console, open IAM → Users and create a dedicated user named NimbusWhaleExporter. Do not enable console access.
    2. Add an inline policy using the template below. Enter the bucket and prefix in this form first so the template uses the correct ARNs.
    3. Open the user’s Security credentials, choose Create access key, and select the application/outside-AWS use case.
    4. Copy the access key ID and secret immediately. AWS shows the secret only once.
    5. Paste both values below and choose Test and save S3. Nimbus writes, reads back, and deletes one small validation object.

    AWS CLI setup
    1. Install AWS CLI v2 and sign in with an administrator profile. Run aws sts get-caller-identity to verify the account.
    2. Enter the bucket and prefix below. Open the UI instructions above, copy the generated policy, and save it as nimbus-whale-s3-policy.json.
    3. Copy and run the commands below. The last command prints the access key ID and secret access key; save the secret immediately because AWS shows it only once.
    4. Paste both credentials below and run the connection test.

    Destination setup

    Connect Azure Blob Storage

Use a dedicated Microsoft Entra application with the Storage Blob Data Contributor role scoped to the selected storage account or container.

    Azure Portal (UI) setup
    1. In Azure Portal, open Microsoft Entra ID → App registrations → New registration and create an app named NimbusWhaleExporter.
    2. From the app overview, copy the Directory (tenant) ID and Application (client) ID.
    3. Open Certificates & secrets → Client secrets → New client secret. Choose the longest expiry your policy permits, then copy the secret value and expiration date.
    4. Open the target Storage Account or container, then Access control (IAM) → Add role assignment. Assign Storage Blob Data Contributor to the new app.
    5. Create or select the Blob container that will hold exported recordings.
    6. Enter the IDs, secret value, expiry, account, and container below. Nimbus writes and deletes one small validation blob.

    Azure CLI setup
    1. Install Azure CLI, run az login, and select the correct subscription with az account set when needed.
    2. Enter the storage account and container below, then copy and run the generated commands. Running the container-create command again is safe when the container already exists.
    3. The last command returns appId, password, and tenant: use these as the client ID, client secret, and tenant ID. Protect the output because the secret cannot be retrieved later.
    4. Enter the suggested expiration date, paste the returned values, and test the connection. Role assignments can take several minutes to propagate.
